WIndows 7 introduced a feautre called 'Hybrid Sleep' So is windows sleeping instead of shutting down?ĮDIT: Restarting the computer resets the up time. ![]() ![]() The computer did say "shutting down" instead of just sleeping.īut if windows is sleeping instead of shutting down then that would explain lots of things, the task manager > performance tab > CPU, shows the time and that says that the system has been on for 2 days!Īlso if I shutdown the laptop, wait a few days, turn it back on the battery says it has no charge, if it was properly shutdown it shouldn't use any of the battery. While looking at event viewer in windows 10, it shows that I put the computer to sleep this morning, fired it back up in the afternoon and it shows that the computer went into sleep mode.
